The Travelling People.
Live In Lochcarron

Sometime ago, we put an advert in the local village paper titled “Memories of 1972”. This is what it said: “Those of you who have lived in Lochcarron for a long time may remember that I met John when he came to the village in 1972 with the folk group The Travelling People. While
they were playing in the Lochcarron Hotel I made a tape recording of
them singing and playing. We put the tape in a safe place, so safe that
after 4 flittings and and 36 years we found it about 6 weeks ago. After
listening to it we decided to send it to Precious Voices in Thornhill
to have it restored and transferred onto CD, and the company did a very
good job for us.” |
